Description

The LOQ 15IRX9 with RTX 3050 puts a 14-core, 20-thread HX-class Intel processor next to an entry-level RTX card. The Core i7-13650HX is a strong CPU for compiling, editing and multitasking, while the RTX 3050 (6GB GDDR6, 95W TGP) handles 1080p gaming. The RTX 4050 version has the same CPU and screen but a 105W TGP and DLSS 3.5, so the choice is about how much GPU you need.

Who it’s for

Students and developers who want a strong 14-core CPU for coding, virtual machines or rendering together with a dedicated GPU.
Esports and 1080p gamers on a budget who want a 144Hz screen.
Video editors who value CPU power and can live with an entry-level GPU.
Choose the RTX 4050 version of the LOQ 15IRX9 if games are your main use and you want the stronger GPU.

Performance notes

The Core i7-13650HX has 6 Performance and 8 Efficient cores (20 threads) with up to 4.9 GHz boost on the P-cores. In games the GPU usually decides the frame rate, so an RTX 3050 will not use all of this CPU.
Lenovo lists the RTX 3050 here with 6GB GDDR6 and 95W TGP. The 4GB RTX 3050A (65W) that Lenovo also lists is a different card and is not what this model uses.
The screen is 1080p, 144Hz, 100% sRGB, a good match for this GPU. Newer demanding games may need medium settings.
